What makes Ashario the easiest "ashario near me" option?

Ashario Cannabis is one of the most accessible retailers in Ontario because all four stores open at 7:00 AM and stay open until 11:00 PM daily, including weekends and statutory holidays. That's a 16-hour window every day, which is wider than many cannabis retailers that close at 9 or 10 PM. Whether you're an early riser or a late-night shopper, the door is open.

Each Ashario carries a full range of AGCO-regulated product categories: dried flower, pre-rolls, vapes, edibles, beverages, concentrates, oils, capsules, topicals, and accessories. Our budtenders are trained to help you compare cultivars, understand format differences, and read the label information required under the Cannabis Act. Start browsing our Ashario Cannabis homepage to see what we're about, then head to your nearest store.

One local detail customers appreciate: because our North York stores (Finch & Dufferin and Centerpoint Mall) are only about a 15-minute drive apart, if one location is temporarily out of a specific product, staff can point you to the sister store or you can simply visit the other. That redundancy is a real perk of a four-store network in the same region.

How do I choose the right dispensary near me in Ontario?

Choosing the right dispensary near you in Ontario comes down to three things: proximity, hours, and selection. All licensed Ontario retailers must follow the same AGCO rules, so the legal framework is identical everywhere. What differs is convenience and staff knowledge.

Ashario's four-location footprint means you rarely have to travel far. For hours, our 7 AM to 11 PM schedule beats many competitors. For selection, we stock across every major category and rotate new drops from Licensed Producers regularly. As of 2026, our budtenders frequently get asked to help first-time visitors understand the difference between inhalable formats (flower, pre-rolls, vapes) and ingestible formats (edibles, beverages, capsules), and we're happy to walk you through it in plain language.

If you want to compare notes before you go, our Ashario Cannabis blog covers cultivars, formats, and buying tips. You can also read our companion guide, Cannabis Store Near Me in the GTA. Find the Closest Ashario Location for Same-Day Pickup, for more on how pickup works at each store.

What do I need to bring to a cannabis store in the GTA?

To buy cannabis at any Ashario location in the GTA, you must be 19 or older and present valid, government-issued photo ID at the door. This is a legal requirement under Ontario's rules, enforced by the AGCO, and staff check ID for anyone who appears under 25. No ID means no entry. There are no exceptions.

Acceptable ID includes an Ontario driver's licence, a passport, a Canadian citizenship card, a Secure Certificate of Indian Status, or a provincial photo card. Bring a payment method too: most stores accept debit and major credit cards, though we recommend calling your nearest location if you have a specific payment question. For anything else, reach our team through the contact us page.

One tip from our team: Health Canada limits public possession to 30 grams of dried cannabis (or its equivalent) at a time. If you're shopping for edibles or concentrates, ask a budtender about the equivalency chart so you stay within the legal limit. You can review the official framework on the Health Canada cannabis page.

What are the store hours for Ashario locations in the GTA?

Every Ashario Cannabis location operates on identical hours: 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM, seven days a week, 365 days a year, including weekends and statutory holidays. This consistency means you never have to guess whether a specific branch keeps different weekend or holiday hours. Updated August 2026, these hours apply to Finch & Dufferin, Centerpoint Mall, Aurora, and Thornton.

Because Ontario cannabis retail hours are capped by the AGCO between 9:00 AM and 11:00 PM for most municipalities, with some allowing earlier openings. Ashario's 7:00 AM start makes our stores among the earliest-opening dispensaries you'll find in the region. Early-morning shoppers, shift workers, and commuters heading north on Yonge or Barrie Street find this especially convenient.

How does Ontario regulate cannabis stores near me?

Every legal cannabis store in Ontario, including all four Ashario locations, is licensed and regulated by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO). This guarantees that everything on our shelves is lab-tested, properly labelled, and traceable: a key difference between a licensed store and the illegal market.

What this means for you as a shopper: potency figures, ingredient lists, and packaging all follow federal Cannabis Act standards. Potency varies by product and lot, so always verify the THC and CBD numbers on the in-store label or Certificate of Analysis (COA) rather than assuming. Our budtenders are trained to help you read these labels. You can learn more about the regulator at the AGCO cannabis page.

As of 2026, Ontario has thousands of licensed retail cannabis stores, and the legal market continues to grow according to the Statistics Canada Cannabis Stats Hub. Choosing a licensed store like Ashario means you're supporting the regulated system and getting products that meet federal safety and labelling standards.

Getting to your nearest Ashario

Finding the closest Ashario is straightforward once you know the four addresses. From downtown Toronto, the Yonge subway line runs directly toward Centerpoint Mall in Willowdale. From the west end or the 400/401 interchange, Finch & Dufferin is the natural stop. Heading north into York Region, Aurora sits right on Yonge Street, and Thornton is a quick detour off Highway 400 near Barrie.

Each store has its own local rhythm. Our Aurora budtenders note that weekend mornings are the calmest time to browse without a wait, while the North York stores stay busier during evening commute hours. If you'd rather beat the crowd, that 7 AM opening is your friend.
